I am convinced that lifestyle choices that we make today will impact on us tomorrow...what we eat, drink, what we put on our body, how we handle stress, exercise, etc, etc. It seems all common sense right? But its sooooo hard to do! We all have good intentions and sometimes we're 'good' for a little while, but then life takes over, and then we're suddenly not eating 5 a day or a whole week has gone by and you haven’t done a single bit of focused exercise.
My brother told me that his new year's resolution this year was to rest more. Just rest, i.e. be in the bedroom with nooooo distractions, no TV, no nothing. Just silence, maybe a book, and maybe some lavender. I didn’t make a new year's resolution this year (because I was so busy!!!!) but perhaps I will like to be more conscious of my health and well being, and I will like to make better choices. E.g. say you go to get groceries, and you intended to get some carrots and broccoli, but having walked down through the cakes isle you end up yes with your carrots and broccoli, but also some gaddamn chocolates, cakes, fizzy drinks and other pastries. It's a battle indeed!
Hey I'd love to hear from y'all. What healthy lifestyle changes are you making, what bad habits have you successfully given up?
